For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated my life to serving others—working in rest homes, private residences, group homes, and adult day programs. I even operated my own Alternative Family Living home. Throughout this journey, I found purpose in caring for individuals who are often overlooked, misunderstood, or forgotten—because, at times, I’ve felt that way too.
For the past decade, I’ve carried a vision in my heart—to create a space that truly meets the needs of our community. A space where dignity, compassion, and engagement aren’t just values, but everyday practices.
Now, I’m taking a leap of faith to bring that vision to life through A Better Way Adult Day Health Services. I believe the time is right, and our community is ready.

A Better Way isn’t just a name—it’s a promise born from real, lived experience. This isn’t a business idea that came out of nowhere. It’s the result of years spent working closely with individuals who deserve more than just basic care—they deserve to be seen, heard, and valued.
At A Better Way, we focus on building relationships, not just providing services. From the moment someone walks through our doors, they are treated as a whole person—not a case, not a diagnosis.
We believe in personalized care, not a one-size-fits-all approach. That means addressing every part of an individual’s well-being—from cognitive and emotional support to physical health and meaningful social connection.
Our model is DSS-aligned, community-powered, and centered around care reimagined—where compassion, dignity, and engagement are at the core of everything we do.
This is A Better Way—and we’re just getting started.
Now, we’re inviting you to be a part of this journey. We’ve launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help bring this vision to life—and we need your support. Your contribution will help us secure a safe, welcoming space, purchase essential equipment, and build the kind of adult day health program our community truly needs.

Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) deserve more than a diagnosis. They deserve friendship, Purpose. Joy. They deserve to be seen and supported.
At A Better Way, we are creating a day program where adults with IDD are celebrated for who they are, not just cared for, but included, empowered, and uplifted.
Help us build a space where everyone belongs.

They Deserve More Than a Label
Mental illness doesn't define a person. It is just one part of a bigger, beautiful picture.
At A Better Way, we honor those stories. We meet people where they are, with respect, structure, and unconditional care.
Help us create a day health program where adults with mental health needs can find peace, purpose, and joy.
This is for the mother who no longer remembers your name,
But lights up when she hears your voice.
This is for the young adult with IDD who dreams of being seen.
For the veteran whose stories are locked behind silence.
For the father who still smiles at music from his past.
This is for them.
A Better Way is being built for every person who deserves more than just care—they deserve joy, community, and dignity.
And we can’t do it without you.
Will you give today in their honor?
Too often, adults with behavioral health diagnoses are misunderstood, or worse, forgotten. Behavioral health challenges don’t make someone difficult. They make someone human.
At A Better Way, we’re building a safe place for adults with behavioral health conditions to be supported, understood, and empowered.
Help us replace stigma with hope and let's change the narrative together!
A Better Way welcomes them into a place of calm, care, and dignity.
Give today.
